English teacher - LTO

We invite applications for an exciting LTO contract opportunity at St. Andrew’s College in the role of English teacher reporting to the Deputy Head of School. This LTO position will commence in September 2025 and end in June 2026.
 
As a member of the English Department, the individual in this role will collaborate with colleagues to ensure program excellence, with an expectation of high standards of learning, student progress, and support. In consultation with department members, the English teacher will prepare and deliver an innovative and inclusive curriculum, implement compelling instructional practices, and ensure alignment with department policies and Growing Success criteria. 
 
We seek applications from individuals who are certified teachers holding a Bachelor of Education, with an Honours Specialist in English and several years of experience teaching senior-level English, including AP courses. Candidates will bring a thorough understanding of the Ontario curriculum and the Growing Success requirements. Other key requisites of this role include demonstrated leadership and communication skills and a sustained commitment to professional growth and improvement. Additionally, we seek candidates with a demonstrated willingness to participate in and/or lead EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion) initiatives within the community. Further, the school seeks teachers who are also interested in supporting the school administration through their expertise in the area of data innovation.
