Associate Faculty

We invite applications for an exciting and rewarding opportunity at St. Andrew’s College in the role of Associate Faculty reporting to the Deputy Head of School. The position will commence in August 2025 and end in June 2026, with the possibility of future opportunities at either St. Andrew’s College or St. Anne’s School.

The Associate Faculty role is well suited for a relational leader who understands the reciprocal benefits of being involved in the whole life of the school and the lasting impact that level of engagement brings to the student experience. Applicants must convey their passion for educating adolescents, whether in the classroom, in athletic programming or the arts, or through the unique opportunities of a boarding community. Individuals must demonstrate genuine care and positive energy through their practice while espousing our core values of accountability, courage, integrity, creativity, respect, empathy, and resilience. If you are the kind of teacher with a deep sense of purpose, desirous of the autonomy to lead and mentor, and seeking support for personal growth, tell us your story.

Associate Faculty may be assigned to teach one to two sections, coach two to three terms, and mentor and guide 60+ boys in one of four boarding houses. Ideally, candidates are recent graduates with a B.Ed. or want to pursue a career in education or boarding. While experience in the classroom is not a prerequisite for the role, interested candidates should identify ways in which they have worked successfully with young people and the unique skills they can bring to St. Andrew’s College. Experience coaching and playing the sports offered at St. Andrew’s is ideal. Additionally, we seek candidates willing to participate in community EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion) initiatives.

In the role of Associate Faculty, you will build authentic connections with students in the classroom, on the playing field, and in the boarding house, which is likely to become the most rewarding aspect of the position. Further, this opportunity has significant financial benefits, including accommodations of a studio apartment on a beautiful 126-acre campus, onsite meals in Cole Hall, free Wi-Fi, full access to campus facilities, including a comprehensive fitness studio, walking trails, pool, and the convenience of free parking and no commute. You will join a dynamic, caring team that values professional development and experiential learning opportunities. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to share evening and weekend supervision on a rotational basis, providing flexibility throughout the day. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

To express interest in this opportunity, submit a cover letter and resume by January 7, 2025, to sac.simplication.com.
