Sales Associate
We invite applications for a part-time, six-month contract opportunity in the role of Sales Associate, reporting to the Associate Director, Retail Operations. This role will directly support the school stores at St. Andrew’s College and St. Anne’s School.
The Sales Associate is primarily responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of the Campus Shop by providing outstanding customer service. A key responsibility is accurately and efficiently processing sales using the point-of-sale (POS) system. The Sales Associate is also responsible for responding to customer queries in a professional and friendly manner. Maintaining an orderly appearance of the register area and store merchandise is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess strong professional communication and resource management skills. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to learn and efficiently complete sales and assist with customer queries. The ability to build rapport with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere is crucial for success in this position. Prior experience working in a retail environment and using point-of-sale machines, including cash registers and credit/debit sales equipment, is an asset. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and POS systems like Lightspeed applications is a plus.
