Grade 12 students presented pitches and tended display booths featuring their entrepreneurial venture ideas to staff and students during Monday’s McEwen Entrepreneurship Fair in Staunton Gallery.
The event serves as a culminating task for a large project-based learning initiative in which the students explore the driving question: What good or service should be introduced to the marketplace to fill a gap and create consumer demand?
The business plans included information regarding the venture’s marketing strategy, financial projections, operating strategy, and resource management. The event was a huge success, with students and staff jockeying to hear the various pitches, which featured several unique and feasible venture plan ideas.
