Robotics Teams Visit St. Clement's for Friendly VEX Tournament
This past weekend, 40 SAC students travelled to St. Clement’s School for a day of friendly competition and collaboration in Robotics. For almost two decades, robotics has been a cornerstone of education at SAC as we enter our sixth year of participation in VEX competitions.
Traditionally, SAC hosts the SCS for a local tournament, but this year, the newly unveiled design lab at St. Clement’s provided the perfect opportunity for a role reversal. SAC brought five teams to the event to showcase their engineering skills, share strategies, and demonstrate their robots’ capabilities.
“It was an excellent opportunity for our boys to engage with like-minded peers,” says Terry Prezens, Head of Computer Science. “The camaraderie and sportsmanship were outstanding, and the boys’ progress in robotics was on full display.”
St. Clement’s Head of School was on hand to greet participants and make everyone feel at home. We will see them again in December when St. Clement's, St. Anne’s and SAC travel to St. Catherines for an official qualifier event.
